Well a lot's changed since I was last on here!

My poor blog, I didn't realise its been so long since I made a post.

2012 ended up being a very hard year & due to several things that happened I had my depression come back worse than ever. However I did decide that this plus size thing had gone on long enough & I had to get fit & healthy. So that's what I did! It took me one year of healthy eating & walking & hiking & I dropped 65 kg - I surpassed my old weight I was aiming to get back to & am now the healthiest & fittest I've ever been.

On my birthday in 2012 on the left & my birthday 2014 - happy & healthy!

The other exciting thing that happened is in 2014 we travelled to Europe for the first time & as it was our 15th Wedding anniversary, we renewed our vows in Paris - most amazing day ever!

Above are some of our photos form Paris wedding renewal

The Wedding

On the 9th May 1999 we had our wedding, 3 years to the day we met.  We worked for 12 months organising the perfect day, we selected everything together (except the dress!)

We had our ceremony at Sacred Heart Church Paddington, its only a few streets from our home and is a beautiful old church with the most amazing stained glass windows.  My dress was by Airs & Graces and was the first dress I ever tried on.  The thing I remember most is seeing Leigh waiting for me at the end of the aisle, it was only a day since I had seen him but since we were never apart it seemed like forever.

The ceremony flew by then it was off for photos then on to our reception.  The reception was held at a restaurant on the Brisbane river called Oxleys, the room is all glass windows to the floor so you can see the lovely view.  Everything went perfectly from the food, to cutting the cake to the first dance. Next it was time to say our goodbyes and we made our exit via watertaxi. We had a magical day with our family & friends and all our work & planning was well worth it, best of all we were now husband & wife!  We were both too excited to sleep that night and spent hours talking about our day.
